Keep Browsing Without Interruptions: Open New Safari Tabs
Sometimes when you’re browsing in Safari, you don’t want to leave the page you’re on right away. Maybe you’re following research links, reading something important, comparing products, or just not ready to switch. Instead of clicking a link and being taken straight to that new page, you can quickly open it in a separate tab and keep your spot.
Here’s how:
- Hold down Shift + Command on your keyboard.
- Click the link you want to open.
- Safari will open that link in a brand-new tab at the top, while your current page stays open.
That way, you can keep reading where you are and check out the new page later when you’re ready.
